Perfect Practice Makes PerfectHello friends, alot has gone on in my
life over the past few months. Because I tried so hard to return back to competition last year, I fought a bit too hard causing
a few bad habits in my style. So now I am seeing the results of fighting when the body just says no. On the positive side.
I know what I am doing wrong while I ride. So fixing the problem will only be creating new muscle memory. Going out to Gary
Lefew's house and training with him for a few days is the best thing that I could have done. Gary has broken down rank bullriding
into steps. You see, while riding a bull, the brain mostly remembers only when a bull kicks. That's because durring the rare
of a bull, your face is so close to him, nothing is in focus to your eyes. So the mind has to rely off what it felt like.
And what it felt like is hardly ever what it looks like. So we make assumptions that only cost us time, which we don't have
because we can't ride bulls forever. So, during the kick, the full picture is in focus. All senses of the body are at work.
You can see, which I was lacking last year. You can hear the crowd or the people behind the chutes cheering you on. You can
even smell and taste the victory or the dirt, depending on where you were during the rare. But where people get messed up
is on the feel. It feels like your lifting on your bullrope, which is true during the kick. But more of a push by dominating
the riding shoulder forward. This is done by using the momentum of the kick to drive your body up and over the front for the
rare, allowing you to keep your body in front of your rope. The majority of the bullriding schools teach the lift and reach
method, that does work, but is not correct for greatness, consistancy, and dominating the rank bulls. Instructors have not
broken down the rank and consistant riders to see what is actually going on during the ride like Mr. Lefew has done. He has
also created effective procedures for practicing the dominating riding shoulder method of bullriding. I know that there
are many who have no idea what I am talking about and your probably wondering why would he be trying to teach everyone how
to ride bulls? Well I know that many who check out my web site will never get on a bull, some may wonder how it works, but
for the few kids who have the same dream that I do and are not scared to reach out and take what God has available for them,
I reach out to you! Because if I could have learned this method of riding while I was young, I could be much farther in my
career today. But just a quick note for everyone, I want everyone to know that the only thing in your way from allowing you
to accomplishing your dreams, is you. Don't be affraid to dream and dream big. Every human being has to have a goal, a dream,
and a purpose. The brain is a goal striving mechanisim. If you don't give it a goal, it will find a goal of it's own. Next
comes missery, depression, unhappiness, and sin. Dream big and never stop reaching for the stars no matter the circumstances.
Mark 9:23. "If you can believe, all things are possible for him who believes." God leaves it up to you first of
all, "If you csn believe." I have see God do some amazing things in my life and He is no respector of persons. What
He does for one, He will do for another. You just have to believe, or have that confident assurance and get rid of that wishful
thinking. Now back on subject. I want people who have big dreams to get a hold on these techniques and realize that they
can do all things things through Christ who strengthens you. So, I want every kid who thinks they don't have what it takes
to listen up. A great friend of mine told me just a couple of weeks ago, God has blessed me with the greatest ability to ride
bulls that He could ever given. All I have to do is ask Him for the ability to use it. That was so encouraging to me. Hebrews
11:1 says, "Now faith is, the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Notice the word hope.
In today's form of English that word means wishful thinking. Now if that is what faith really is, then we are in trouble.
We are not saved by grace through wishful thinking either, Ephesians 2:8. The word hope, in the Hebrew language, which is
the original text of God's Word, means a confident assurance. This is another way the devil has tried attacking us. By evolving
our language over time. So God wants us to have confident assurance in Him and ourselves. If God be for you, who dare be against
you? You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! If you never try, then you'll always wonder why. I am putting
on a bull riding school in Brandon Mississippi on May 21 at 5 pm, 22 and 23 all day. Mr. Joey Brown from Florence, MS is helping
me put everything together. If you are interested or have any questions, please give him a call at 601-672-9267. I am
only taking a small number of students so call with a deposit fast to save a spot. I was blessed the other day while in Austin. I have not been 90 points in
over a year. I was 91 to win the long round at the Austin Texas Xtreme Bulls. I bucked off in the short round and finished
3rd in the average. The next day was a separate event at the same place. I was 82 in the long round and bucked off right at
the whistle to place 6th in the average. Praise God! What is there that He can't do? NOTHING! Thank you guys for checking my web site out. May God richly bless
you in all that you do and may everything you set your hand to prosper! Grace and Peace to all by our Lord and Savior Jesus
The Christ. Chance

On the road again. Just can't wait to get on the road again.Hello everyone. Thanks for visiting my web site. I hope everyone has had a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Years. I know
I sure did. God has blessed me in many ways. I love to grill. I have a gas grill which is the one that I learned how to grill
on and I wanted a charcoal grill for Christmas. In my opinion, the charcoal grill gives the food a better flavor. My lovely
wife surprised me with a very nice charcoal grill for Christmas. This was my big present along with many other awesome gifts
from my family and friends. I am on the home stretch of recovery from my surgery in October. I can stretch my legs
out so much farther now that the spurs have been removed from the ball and socket in my hip. I feel like a kid again now that
everything is new and fresh. Look out 2010 bullriding world title, here I come. I have been entering rodeos with best friends
Kanin Asay and Bobby Welsh. I am entered in the Xtreme Bulls in Fort Worth Texas on January 19 and again on the 20. This will
be my first rides back into competition. Mean while I am flying out to visit the legendary World Champion Bullrider Gary Lefew
in Santa Maria Calafornia for a few days. Mr. Lefew puts on some of the greatest bullriding schools in the world. I met him
while I was at the 2008 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. He helped me get out of the mental game from myself during my fight
for the world title. The problem was I didn't go to him until the 9th round. After bucking off 6 bulls in a row during the
2008 NFR, he called me on the hotel phone and asked me to come by for some coffee. I went to the Gold Coast to hear what he
had to say and he made me realize that I was causing bullriding to be difficult. A bull weighs 1500 to 2000 pounds and I only
weigh 145, how in the world could he move faster than me and as long as I am out over my rope, how can he be stronger than
me. Most of the time the biggest barriers and hinderances in our lives is ourselves. When we do what God has instilled in
us and give Him the right away, we get to see His work. Instead of riding like I knew how to, I was cutting corners that wasn't
there and trying to beat the bull to the next move when all I had to do is just relax and have fun competing in the sport
that I loved. After hearing what he had to say, I won second in the round that night. Instead of coming off these injuries
and crawling back into competition, I have decided to take advantage of the moment and get my mind straight so that I can
run back into competition instead of just crawling. Thanks for all the prayers that have went forth for Summer
and I. I can see God's work in our lives. Until next time, Grace and Peace! Chance Smart
